Danny loved life and he
enjoyed every day. His quick
wit and easy laugh made him
a favorite with all, and his
loyalty and kindness
endeared him to his close
circle of friends. With
little effort, Dan was able
to fill a room up with
laughter, and his company
was sought after by many
because of his ability to
create a fun atmosphere.
Danny's sense of humor was
subtle, and with his perfect
comic timing he frequently
left everyone in hysterics.
A native San Franciscan, he
spent every summer in Cazadero at the Russian
River, swimming, golfing and
catching up with his
extended family. Dan loved
his sweet rambunctious dog,
Onyx, a boxer-pit mix. They
enjoyed daily strolls and
runs at Fort Funston and
Stern Grove.
Danny loved his
Irish heritage and he was a
devout Catholic. He always
knew that he wanted to work
in law enforcement, and he
was proud to serve as a
Senior Deputy in the San
Francisco Sheriff's
Department. He took great
pleasure in his job and
loved his many good friends
in the department. Danny
loved sports and he was an
exceptional athlete. He
especially enjoyed golf and
softball. A talented golfer,
he could often be found at
one of the local courses,
working on his swing. He was
a member of the Sheriff's
Department softball team and
participated in several
tournaments every year. He
was also a life-long Giants, Niners and Warriors fan.
Dan
and his family would like to
thank his colleagues in the
San Francisco Sheriff's
Department for their
support. Also sincere thanks
to Dr. Andrew Parsa and his
team, and caregivers at UCSF
and Pathways, and Dr. Peter
Weber at CPMC. Friends are
invited to the Vigil Service
on Monday, August 20 at
7:30PM at St. Stephen
Church, 601 Eucalyptus
Drive, San Francisco, CA.
Funeral Services will be at
St. Stephen Church at
10:00AM on Tuesday, August
21. Interment to follow at
Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma,
CA. Donations preferred in
Danny's memory to the
National Brain Tumor
Foundation:
