| 8/12/2005 | | | The Passing of Deputy Mark Cash | | Dear Members,
With much sadness, we recently learned of the passing of Deputy Mark Cash. Mark was not only the consummate professional; he was also a true friend to us all and will be missed by his many colleagues, family and friends.
In the past, our association has not had the capacity to receive and manage funds for benevolent purposes. In an effort to amend that situation, I have formed the San Francisco Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Foundation-a 501 (c) (3) corporation-to help raise money for members and their families in order to assist them through difficult personal times and tragedies. Although the foundation is in its infancy, we have been able to make a donation to the Cash family. If you would like to follow the leadership of other deputies and wish to help the Cash family in this manner, you may offer a donation as follows:
Make your check payable to: San Francisco Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Foundation (or SFDSA Foundation). Indicate on your check that the donation is for the Mark Cash Family Fund. Then mail your contribution to:

I want to commend and thank all of your for holding the interests of others ahead of your own. Please realize your heartfelt donation will long be appreciated by Mark’s family, and will also serve as a tribute to our dear friend and fellow deputy.
